The new Lord Corporation Office Building marks the first phase of a four-building master plan on the company’s Cary, North Carolina campus. Spanning 49,500 square feet across four stories, the building accommodates 175 employees in various administrative departments, offering office and meeting spaces tailored for collaboration. Nestled within a wooded site, the structure integrates seamlessly into the corporate campus, which includes office, research, and manufacturing facilities. Three floors feature open office environments designed for flexibility, each with shared meeting rooms, work areas, and small break rooms. A prominent two-story lounge above the main entrance serves as a communal hub. The partially exposed lower level houses a data center, IT lab, utilities, and shipping/receiving. To counter workplace isolation, the design fosters connectivity through overlapping double-height lobbies and break spaces linked by a grand stairway, creating an engaging environment where employees interact and build community around shared experiences.
