Billy, Edwin, and Teri Give Lecture at Clemson University

Billy, Edwin, and Teri were invited to Clemson University’s Fall Lecture Series titled, Change! Architectural Experiments in a Changing Society . The lecture was titled “’Til It’s Done.” An essential edict of their design philosophy is PEOPLE MATTER. Billy, Edwin, and Teri believe that purely pragmatic and engineered solutions for the built environment ignore humanity and place and are unacceptable. They prioritize moving beyond preconceived solutions to craft unique responses which inspire, are wholly appropriate, and specific to each space.

Design—the tactile manifestation of narratives—serves as a powerful amplifier of societal priorities, beliefs, and aspirations. Further, our neighborhoods and cities are comprised of the infinite stories and histories of humankind collaged on the spectrum from chaos to calm. Billy, Edwin, and Teri aspire to embrace the colorful, the complicated, ultimately the total kaleidoscope of his[stories] and cultures to create dynamic and enriching spaces for each community regardless of means, cultural backgrounds, or initial expectations. This approach is rooted in their belief that great and inspired spaces beget great and inspired communities, which ultimately foster a greater and more inspired world.

We aspire to EVOKE, ‘til it’s done.
