Teri Recognized as Evolving Woman in AEC Honoree
Teri Canada, EVOKE Co-founder and Principal is celebrated for her leadership and exceptional design in the architecture field by being recognized with the Evolving Women in Architecture Engineering and Construction Honor. This honor is awarded by Chix Dig It: a group that amplifies and supports women in architecture, engineering, and construction.
For over 24 years, Teri has served as a fervent advocate for extraordinary architecture by thoughtfully and efficiently guiding award-wining projects. From being one of the first five African American women to become a registered architect, Teri joined the Freelon Group, rapidly advanced to Senior Associate as a result of her exceptional client management skills, and went on to serve as Lead Project Manager on award-winning projects like the National Center for Civil and Human Rights Museum and Emancipation Park.
Teri continues to mentor and inspire other designers and architects while pushing the field forward through her architecture. We are thrilled to see others recognizing her tremendous contributions to the architecture field! Congratulations Teri!
