Research Triangle Foundation - Central Park / Building 200
RESEARCH TRIANGLE FOUNDATION - CENTRAL PARK BUILDING 200
Location: Research Triangle Park, North Carolina
Project Size: 1.5 Acres (Site)
Status: In-Progress
This project merges landscape and building to link RTF’s existing Frontier campus with its emerging Hub campus. The project creates a “Central Park” between the two campuses, highlighted by a cantilevered overlook that reflects the Foundation’s progressive reimagining of the older office park. Site pathways traverse the landscape to connect pedestrians between key areas, define programmable outdoor zones, and accommodate future site amenities. A Corten steel truss bridge projects forward from cast-in-place concrete site walls, providing both an overlook of the revitalized landscape and an accessible entry to the aging Building 200. The bridge structure is designed as a pavilion in the park, such that the bridge remains even once Building 200 is demolished for future development.
